Our Vision
Inclusive
We appreciate the inclusive nature of God’s love in Jesus Christ. We joyfully encourage full participation in the life of the Church by those of any age, color, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, physical or mental ability, race, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
Inquiring
We are intellectually and theologically curious, claiming the sacredness of both our minds and our hearts. Rather than interpreting the Bible primarily in individualistic terms, our church is seeking to address the broader social implications of the Gospel that impact our lives, our community, and the larger world around us.
Imperfect
We believe all humanity is created in the image of God. Creation is good because God is good. And yet, as humans, we violate the image of God in ourselves and others. As Christ’s followers we affirm and celebrate the worth of all people. We are imperfect, but do not strive for perfection, only faithfulness.
Our Values
Worshiping
Worshiping God together joyously and embracing both traditional and contemporary forms of music.
Seeking
Seeking to express our faith with intellectual integrity and in the way we read the Bible.
Embodying
Embodying together, a spiritual commitment to work for peace, social justice, and the well-being of all.
Practicing
Practicing full inclusion in the life of the Church by those of any age, color, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, physical or mental ability, race, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
Respecting
Respecting people of other faith traditions and acknowledging that their ways are as true for them as our ways are for us.
Believing
Believing that the way we behave towards one another and love our neighbors is the fullest expression of what we believe.
Encouraging
Encouraging the care of the earth as a matter of eco-justice and spiritual importance.
